Born and raised in Tidewater VA

B.A. in Fine Arts from Norfolk State University

I majored in fine art with a concentration on drawing, painting, and photography.

Later I took 2 years of computer graphic courses, it was such a struggle in the beginning I felt like either the computer was going to blow up or I was. I’m sure we were in competition for that fate. I’m now more comfortable with computers, and am not at afraid to try new things while working with graphic programs

such as photoshop. I also design my own business cards and flyers.

I began drawing at the earliest time possible, when I was able to hold a crayon, marking up bed boards,

walls, and refrigerators.

I have exhibited in both indoor and outdoor shows, some of which include the Ghent Arts Festivals, the

Halizo Arts Festival, and the Norfolk State University Art Gallery.

I find it best to get a commission to do a portrait rather than just to do a lot of works, and hope to sell them.

Maybe in the future the latter will prevail.

I have worked as a Substitute Teacher for the past 7 years. Also part-time as a “Pet Nutrition Specialist” for the past 4 years. Love animals, kids, art and digital photography.
